About the project

Gayafores asked us to present their ceramic tile designs in a completely new way — one that you could also touch.

We embroidered their tile patterns onto metallic mesh panels: the same colours, the same forms, the same geometry — but now with a tactile dimension that ceramics alone cannot offer. Visitors could run their hands across the surface and feel the warmth, the texture, the depth that embroidery brings to a design.

A new language for a material with centuries of history behind it.
